My course shows complete in Pixaera but not in my company’s LMS

If Pixaera shows a module as complete on your dashboard, but your company’s Learning Management System (LMS) - such as Workday or SuccessFactors - hasn’t updated, this article explains why and what to do.

How Pixaera sends completions to your LMS

When you launch Pixaera training from inside your company’s LMS, Pixaera typically communicates your completion back to the LMS using a standard called SCORM. This happens automatically when you tap Complete session at the end of the module.

For this to work correctly:

  • You must launch the module from inside your company’s LMS, not by navigating directly to app.pixaera.com.
  • You must reach the Complete session button at the end. Closing the browser early will prevent the completion signal from being sent.
  • The SCORM file must still be open in the background while you complete the training in Pixaera, review this article for further information - Integrating Pixaera with your LMS
  • Depending on how the integration is setup, the LMS must be configured to receive completions from Pixaera. This is usually set up by your company’s Learning & Development team.

Common reasons completion isn’t showing in your LMS

You closed the browser before completing

If the browser was closed before tapping Complete session, the SCORM completion signal was not sent to the LMS. Relaunch the module from your LMS and complete it again. You can try waiting 30-60 seconds after completion.

There is a sync delay

Some LMS platforms take up to 24–48 hours to update after receiving a completion. If you completed training recently, wait a full business day before raising a query.

You completed training on Pixaera directly (not via the LMS)

If you accessed training via a direct link or your Pixaera dashboard rather than launching from the LMS, your completion will appear in Pixaera but might not be sent to the LMS. You may need to complete the module again by launching it from within the LMS but in the first instance, contact help@pixaera.com

A technical error occurred during the session

In rare cases, a network interruption during the session can prevent the completion signal from being sent. Relaunching and completing the module from the LMS should resolve this.

What to do

  • Relaunch the module from your LMS (not from Pixaera directly) and complete it again, making sure to tap Complete session at the end.
  • Wait 24–48 hours for the LMS to sync.
  • Check your Pixaera dashboard at app.pixaera.com to confirm the module shows as complete there.
  • Contact your company’s Learning & Development (L&D) or HR team - they have admin access to your LMS and can check whether the completion signal was received, and manually update your record if needed.

If your L&D team confirms that no completion signal was received and you are confident you completed the module correctly, contact help@pixaera.com with your name and company email, the exact module name(s), the date you completed the training, and a screenshot of your Pixaera dashboard.
