VR Training Guidelines Overview
Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long should each session be?
It should take no more than 20 minutes for a user to get onboarded, complete the training, and fill out a survey form (if necessary). The breakdown:
- Induction: 2 minutes
- Module time: 10-12 minutes
- Survey: 2 minutes
-
How many modules should a user go through?
VR technology is still at its infancy and headsets are not comfortable to wear for extended periods. For that reason, we advise that trainees do no more than one module in a single session (10-12 minutes).
-
How many users can you train per headset per day?
You can train 3 users per headset in one hour. Assuming that you’re going to carry two 2-hour sessions with a 2-hour long break in between to charge the headset, you’ll train up to 12 users per headset in one day.
-
How long does the charge last on the Oculus Quest 2?
Once your Quest 2 is fully charged, you can expect 2 hours of battery life. It’ll take approximately 2 hours to fully charge the headset afterwards.
-
Can you take the training while seated?
We strongly encourage participants to engage in the training while standing, as it is meticulously designed to cater to an upright posture. Our modules have been developed with the perspective of a standing individual in mind, ensuring optimal interaction and visibility of crucial elements within the training.
Choosing to remain seated during the training experience may result in limited access to important components and hinder the overall learning process. Moreover, sitting detracts from the immersive nature of the virtual reality experience, defeating its core purpose. In order to fully embrace the training and maximize the benefits, it is vital for trainees to adopt a posture that mirrors that of the virtual character they are embodying. This alignment allows for seamless interaction and a more authentic, engaging experience that enhances the learning outcomes.
